Seriously.
I was baking a million sugar cookies (from frozen dough balls) when Tom asked me for a couple frozen dough balls.
I was annoyed by this (and pretty much anyone breathing the wrong way the past few days as I fear PMS has set in).
Badly.
Holiday PMS. (like the Big One when the stars, moon and holiday all aline for this historic PMS week).
Anywho, I tossed Tom one dough ball which seemed to make him happier (for Tom), so I tossed the next dough ball. Only Tom wasn't ready to catch it, so I hit him smack on the head with a frozen sugar cookie dough ball.
I knew it hit him hard because I heard the *thud* on his rather thick skull.
After a line of #%^$^&^$#! and an apology from me, Tom somehow managed to slink off into bed unnoticed (so I know he's miffed at my cookie dough throwing abilities or he's suffering a concussion).
I do feel badly, as I didn't mean to knock him in the noggin, but subconsciously, I think it may have run deeper than that.
So let this be a warning to all you ladies thinking of throwing some frozen dough balls around this season...they are dangerous.
And even if T wakes up tomorrow from his apparant head injury, I am wondering if the uncooked eggs will get him!
Seriously, how are there no laws against frozen cookie dough?

weekend of lights
Another fun-filled banner weekend at the Bennett house.
I finished up most of my Christmas shopping (and nearly lost a couple limbs in the process with all the last minute craziness).
Of course now, I will spend the next week thinking of last "last minute things" that I absolutely must have!!
Friday marked the day of a special full-moon. Something to do with the moon not being this close again for a 30 year span. I guess I wasn't listening well enough as all I heard Tom say was "blah, blah, blah...ice cream".
So we went outside and bundled up as it was well below 60 degrees *insert sarcastic snort here*.
The girls played their favorite game "flashlight tag". They pretty much just chase each other with their flashlights and get side tracked by everything around them...quite funny really.

Saturday evening, we decided to go for a quick drive to check out some local Christmas tree lights. Tom decided that we'd drive into St Augustine to check out the light festival, despite the fact that I was not prepared for such a trip (I know, I know, I just HAD to get that in there).
Anywho, it was gorgeous to see ba-zillions of lights along the streets of ba-jillions of people.
We did not actually get out and walk, so excuse the "drive-by" pictures...I just thought these were cool, regardless.

I plan on going to the festival again soon, so Tom and I can walk around, enjoy the scene and comment on how much electricity these people are wasting with all these lights.
We learned that driving downtown on a Saturday night during a busy holiday, was not our greatest idea. So to make up for the girls having to sit endlessly in a traffic jam, we stopped at Dairy Queen for some ice cream (I know- crazy right? Afterall it was under 60 degrees!?)
But ice cream = good things in Jill-World so there really, there is never a bad day for ice cream.
The rest of the weekend was full of our usual family rituals. Ya know, tiaras, tutus, dancing and singing, and that's just Tom! (boy, is he lucky I didn't get my camera out for that one)

move over picasso...
Here comes Bryn.
One of my most favorite things in the world is little kid art. Especially little kid art that involves my sweetie Peetie.
I am tired (aka just lazy), so I thought I'd post a couple of my recent favs of Bryn's art. I have been collecting frames to one day make of wall of her art.
Bryn's Princess Fairies (done in Sharpies no less)

And my personal fav, Wall-E (awwww!!)

Happiest Birthday Andie!
I have an old friend. Old is in- she's now aged yet another year (but still remains months younger than I, so we shall not go there) and "old friend" as we have been friends a very long time. We have been friends for 28 years.
It is rare to have known someone so long (besides your family) and remain the best of friends (although yes, there were some bad times). To be the type of friend that you can call 28 times each day with nothing important to say...well not important to the sane world, but placemats and spatulas are essential in our friend world.
A friend that stands behind you or gives you a push when you need one. A friend that takes your ramblings as they come (sometimes in daily droves) and just listens to the complaints (and agrees that it is indeed never MY fault).
I don't even think I can out into words how important this friend is to my exsistence. She has helped to make me who I am today (not sure if I should thank her and blame her for that one).
So today, on her __th birthday, I wish Andie the happiest birthday ever!! (and to remind her of how very special she is to me).

MOSH!
We enjoyed a busy weekend. We decided to take the girls to MOSH- also known as the Museum of Science and History. (I think "MOSH" sounds much more exciting, as who in the world would take their youngins' to a history museum?)
Anyway, it was a good time had by all. I think Tom enjoyed the science activities more than the girls did.
This is when he is at his best. He is the perfect play-Dad. He gets down and dirty or bubbly in this case with the kids.
The girls really enjoyed the "sound room" which is where they could make all sorts of noise using loud objects...I thought it kind of sounded like the accoustics in our great room...so I was not as impressed as I get to enjoy that experiment everyday.

On Sunday, I thought since all our neighbors have gone all Griswald and put up their outside holiday decorations, it was time for us to do the same. This is usually Tom's job, but I decided to put the lights up myself as I just couldn't stand going any longer without some exterior illumination or I would die that horrible death and go to the place of wonky Christmas trees.
I thought this would prove to be an easy task, but 1.5 hours and two scratched to ba-jebus hands later, I am only half done. So there will be no illumination tonight, thanks to the prickles on the palm tree and my impatience for inanimate objects that refuse to work MY way.
(I did have some awfully cute reindeer playing games all over the yard)

Happy Anniversay to me!
Happy anniversary to me! Yay! Or should I say, holy crap, we actually managed to co-habitate together for 7 years!!!
I just realized that there are very few pictures of Tom and I together, espeically on the computer...but here are a few of us through the years.
Just a girl and the boy she loves beyond all reason (obviously).
Happy Anniversary Husband!
Love, Wife
